The unique JP-8000 uses the combustion of a safe, liquid hydrocarbon fuel and oxygen to produce a supersonic (Mach 2+) flame jet. Powder is then introduced, heated, and accelerated towards a substrate to produce a coating. Compared with all other HVOF processes, the JP-8000 coatings have been proven to be of the most dense and best adhered, which provides the end user with maximum coating performance.
